About These Coffees
Ethioipan Yenenesh Getu Yirgacheffe
Tasting Notes: Raspberry, Peach, Elderflower
Nestled in the stunning Chirada village, at a lofty 2,100 metres above sea level, Yenenesh Getu’s farm is a testament to love and care. On her 2.8-hectare plot, Yenenesh combines traditional Ethiopian farming wisdom with sustainable practices, growing her coffee alongside banana trees for natural shade.
Her dedication to quality starts with her team of seasonal workers, who handpick only the ripest cherries. The result? A cup so clean, so complex, it could only come from someone who lives and breathes her craft.

Kenya AA Kii
Tasting Notes: Blackberry, Grapefruit, Black Tea
The Rungeto Cooperative Society in Kirinyaga, Kenya, grows Kenya AA Kii coffee at high altitudes near Mount Kenya, where the cool climate and rich soils create the perfect conditions for growing top-quality beans. The farm uses a Fully Washed process to ensure each coffee cherry is carefully pulped, fermented, and dried, bringing out the clean, bright flavours. Sustainability is a top priority—water used during processing is recycled, and coffee pulp is turned into natural fertiliser, reducing waste. This eco-friendly approach helps preserve the environment while producing exceptional coffee that’s good for the planet and your cup.
The varietals SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, and Batian refer to specific types of coffee plants or varieties, each with different characteristics.
- SL28 and SL34 are varieties developed in Kenya, known for their excellent flavour but also for being more vulnerable to diseases.
- Ruiru 11 and Batian are newer varieties, bred to be more resistant to diseases, while still producing good-quality coffee.
These names don't stand for anything specific beyond identifying the type of coffee plant, which is important for farmers and producers to know when managing crops and flavour profiles.
